I am proud to be the official photographer & video man for the wonderful charity Blanket B.C. Founded by Greg Ould, it is a wonderful organization that collects blankets, clothes & donations for Metro Vancouver's needy. In late November I had the opportunity to use my skills to capture the first annual fundraiser. It was held at The Junction Pub on Davie street in Vancouver's West End. Some great talent came out and offered their time, and many companies donated items and services for auction. It was a fun and very enjoyable event... and it was successful in it's purpose.

I also shot for Blanket B.C. at the second annual Drive The Line. It is an event that takes place on the Canada Line at select stations over the coarse of 2 days. It was very successful last year, and even more so this year.

Head Shots - Alisha

Last year I had the pleasure of shooting an aspiring model by the name of Alisha. It was her first photo shoot, so I had to provide a bit of coaching...but not much, she was a natural! The real challenge was keeping an overly helpful aunt from taking over the photo shoot! Thankfully all challenges were overcome, and Alisha's portraits turned out gorgeous!

Keep it up Alisha, great work.

bri + chris wedding {gleneagles golf course & country club}

In July I had the pleasure of shooting Bri & Chris at the beautiful Gleneagles Golf & Country Club. It was my first time shooting a Mountie... With so many officers in attendance, I was just happy I was the only one shooting!

I will have to post some of our Engagement shoot photos soon so you can see what a down to earth and fun kind of couple I truly had here. Their love for the outdoors is reflected in the use of "nature" for cake and cupcake holders, as well as centre pieces. The real beauty was that they conceived the idea and decorated the venue themselves (well they also had help from the wedding party and friends!)

Great work, great couple...great times!

lise + andrew

I recently had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Lise & Andrew. This was the type of wedding that I just wanted to shoot all day. Despite the fact that this day was filled not just with rain, but also with copious amounts of HAIL...It was perfect! First off, it was such an incredible venue...The Hycroft Mansion in Vancouver. This is an amazing place that is actually 100 years old this year! Every step I took seemed to uncover some new gem that begged me to shoot it. Lise and Andrew are just such a beautiful and genuine duo. It's not every wedding that you can see "soul mate" written all over a couple! This was most certainly one of those times. Lise & Andrew, I wish you all the very best in your years ahead, Thanks for choosing me to share your special day!

Monique + Rob

This summer I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of a wonderful couple by the names of Monique & Rob. Such a treat to be involved with a wedding when the couple just seems so in love. Rob is a collector of classic cars, so we were very spoiled to be able to work with 3 absolutely mint show cars from the 50's.

I would love to share some of the photos from this special day...and a slideshow with video I shot that day on my 5D MK II.

I have been recently helping Vancouver band "One Bullet Resolution" with their album cover. I have also been shooting more Fine Art like this shot I took during an unusually foggy day in Vancouver.

A New Year

Well I suppose it's time to write again, it has been a little while as I have been quite busy. 2008 was a really great year for this Vancouver based photographer. I took my dream of becoming a sustainably employed photographer and made it a reality. This year I shot a lot of people...and yes, they all enjoyed it! Well, all except a few angry kids at some weddings, but I'm not sure I was the source of their angst. Oh yeah, I guess the guy in the alley near the 2010 Olympic Village that tried to mug me was also not a fan. Thanks to Amato Gelato for letting me seek refuge as I called the Vancouver Police from my cell...The dangers of urban photography!

This year I had the pleasure of meeting a couple of bands and shooting promo material for them. One Bullet Resolution and Winterbride .
This was a great experience, the bands are both great. I have always had a passion for music, so this gives the perfect opportunity to blend my two favorite interests. I produced a slideshow for Winterbride from some of the photos in our shoot. It is set to a great song of theirs called "Heavy."

I look forward to another great year of forging relationships with great and interesting people, I truly feel blessed to be able to help capture moments that will become lasting memories.

Wedding Websites - Wedsites

Hello again, I have been very busy shooting weddings as of late. One thing that seems to be gaining popularity with my clients are my wedding websites, or as I like to call them "Wedsites." RONPERRONPHOTO.COM, has been really gaining fans for the stunning photography and a fantastic level of professionalism, as well as the convenience of one stop shopping with a photographer that can create a wedsite that enables the client to develop a "brand" for their wedding.

I provided a couple, Sarb & Pavel with a site recently. SARBANDPAVELWEDDING.COM was a huge hit. Many out of town guests really found the site's map access very useful. As well, many guests had never attended an Indian wedding, so the information on the site regarding the traditions and there meanings were embraced.

I find that so many people are trying hard to decrease the negative impact they have on the environment, thus they see the use for an invite, RSVP, site online. The other great thing is that these sites can create a sort of meeting place leading up to your special day. All news and information about the wedding can easily be updated. You can even have games, video, photos, slideshows...you name it!!! My clients believe the wedsite is a great way to add some spice and wow factor to create a wedding to remember.

Colin and Andrea's one year anniversary

Ah marriage... Say what you will about the rigors of a long-term agreement, it certainly has it's perks. My beautiful clients Colin & Andrea decided to get together on their wedding one year anniversary to take some photos to remember the occasion. Andrea, bless her heart, even wore her wedding dress...what a trooper!

It was my pleasure to share this day and moment in time with them, I look forward to seeing them do it again.
